Based on Sango’s basic principles of Human resource development, Manufacturing development and Environmental development, Sango is striving to change rapidly and dynamically. Sango began as the Tsunekawa Ironworks, which was founded in 1928. In the chaotic period following the end of the Second World War, the three Tsunekawa brothers were a family of five with their mother and father, so these numbers of three, or “San” in Japanese and five, or “Go” marked the start of the Tsunekawa Ironworks as Sango Co., Ltd. Sango has been a specialist in automotive exhaust systems since then, and with the high economic growth period in Japan, which also ushered in an era of motorization, Sango began to expand and has continued to grow and develop ever since. Since the 1980’s, the company has also been developing overseas. In addition, the company also entered the environmental engineering field, garnering recognition for its achievements, as the company ceaselessly presses on with the challenges of developing on a global stage. The ECO 35 facility was built on the site of the old Sango Nagoya plant and it has become a new symbol for Sango. All Sango employees continue to work hard with good teamwork and high ambitions, but at the same time, with their feet firmly planted on the ground. Each and every Sango member thinks hard, strives mightily, takes action and works hard. It is through this process that our members become stronger. At the same time, we do not forget to consider the environment when we manufacture our products. Thus, products made in the best possible environment will surely make someone happy. Human resource development, manufacturing development and environmental development all take root in the same ground.
The E building is a place where visitors can discover what kind of company Sango is, what products Sango makes and the Sango Vision. Organized into six zones, the museum offers richly illustrated panels, actual items and documents, as well as demonstration equipment to help visitors learn and easily understand the messages about Sango human resource development, manufacturing development and environmental development.
From both inside and outside the company, many people gather at the C Building, which is used as a forum for the exchange of information. The entrance hall has a permanent diorama display of ECO 35, giving visitors an overview of the entire facility. There is also an area called “Everyone’s Gallery”, where pictures, photos and other works by Sango members and retired employees are displayed.
The reception hall is mainly used to hold internal company events such as the entrance ceremony for new employees and the company shareholders’ meeting. It is also used for events that employees and their families enjoy attending, such as the Eco-festival, lobby concerts, or even just for a pleasant chat. Visitors will also enjoy the soothing natural beauty of the woodlands, rice fields and biotope, all of which can be seen from the foyer at the entrance to the Hall.
Research laboratories are located on the second floor of the building. Training programs are held here regularly for both new employees and mid-level employees, fulfilling another one of its functions, as a base for human resource development at Sango.

The O Building is an important research and development base linked directly to the future of Sango, where a diverse range of research facilities have been installed for the development of Sango original technology and new products. The creativity, discovery and the handing down of skills and technology creates an upward spiral of innovation and invention, as we strive to create further evolution and growth in Sango “monozukuri”, our unique manufacturing craftsmanship.
